Trivia: What is the oldest content on hamishdee.com (excepting blog entries about Reeses Pieces)?

Answer: The South American Travel Notebook (viewable on the travel page)

I didn’t ask this question to test your loyalty; I know your love is true. I ask because the world of Hamish Dee has gone full circle. I will again do travel writing. Only this time, it’s for someone else. Let me explain:

One year ago, I was traveling through Turkey (pics here) and I met a youngish man named Ronald. We chatted about our plans, swapped information, and eventually followed our separate paths.

Recently, this old companion of the road came back to me with an exciting project called, The Sightseeing Sofa. Jeanette (travel companion) and Ronald will be traveling the world for one year and documenting the results on their website www.sightseeingsofa.nl During their travels they will take suggestions from subscribers about where to go, what to do and how to do it. There will be a journal, pictures and video. And at the end of the year-long quest, there’ll be a book.
Now, looking at that lowercase “nl” in the web address, you’ve probably guessed where I enter into this. Jeanette and Ronald are from the Netherlands, i.e. Dutch. Considering my experience as a writer and traveler, I’ve been welcomed into the fold in order to sand and polish the English version of their website.

So I encourage all of you to visit, subscribe, then sit back and enjoy.
